Ragazzi irresponsabili
Directed by
For many young Italians, Greta Thunberg is a symbol and an example of assuming responsibility, aware that true change occurs through small daily gestures. Who are these young people who follow Greta and fill squares and schools on Fridays for Future? What principles, goals, and contradictions do they have? Taking up Greta’s accusation that her generation is doing nothing to save the planet, as expressed in the film title, the documentary is based on 14-year-old David’s direct testimony and environmental awareness and 21-year-old Roberta’s efforts to reduce her ecological footprint. The portraits show the various different characteristics of a movement that is gaining momentum.
