She earned a master in fine arts (film direction) from the University of California on a scholarship program for young Arab directors. Her award-winning shorts If You Find Me in Cairo (2021) and Kingdom of Strangers (2022) explore alienation and the need to connect in a constantly changing world. Her current project is a feature entitled Rock, Paper, Sea, about education in the Egyptian Mediterranean.
