Ilveskuiskaaja

Directed by

Finnish pensioner Hannu, who has a thick beard and an inquiring gaze, has voluntarily abandoned civil society and now lives in the woods close to nature and animals. Hannu has managed to up a system of CCTV cameras to monitor his beloved lynxes, whose habitat is in jeopardy because of human activities. Thanks to a dream-like, hypnotic journey the tale turns into a combination of live video-recordings and black and white CCTV footages. Hannus thoughts, expressed through the camera, are a testament to the need to rediscover the balance between human beings and nature, which seems to have been lost forever.
