Directed by

Lucky was born in 1914 on a steam boat shipping his mother and other packhorses to a mining town in Africa. Tom away from his mother soon after their arrival, the little colt is all alone in an unknown land. He is adopted by Richard, a young stable boy who is an orphan. But when the war approaches, Lucky is alone again and has no other chance but venturing into the desert. The strict rules he learnt in Kalahari make him a beautiful and strong horse. With the mare Beauty on his side, he is ready to become the herd leader.
